Antonio "Tony" Gonzales

Antonio (Tony) Lara Gonzales was born in Anson, Texas on June 25, 1941, and passed away in Austin, Texas on May 31, 2022, at the age of 80 years old.

Tony was born to Lorenzo Gonzales and Porfiria Lara. He enjoyed landscaping and working in construction his entire life. Although he lacked in education, Tony was self-motivated with more than 45 years of experience in multiple areas of construction from field worker to Superintendent. He worked for Rodman Construction; Southwest Construction Services; Tiseo Paving Company; Glenn Thurman, Incorporated; James Duncan Construction; Diamond H Services; and finally, 2TW Construction. All titles were awarded through his hard work and enthusiasm that fulfilled his work life.

Antonio Gonzales is survived by his sisters, Ramona Flores and Josephine Perkins. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo and Porfiria Gonzales; sisters, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Eloisa Gonzales, and Lydia Benavides. In his final years and days of his life, Tony was lovingly cared for by his best friend and love of his life, Rosa Salinas, and sons, Jason, Jesse, Joseph, and Jonathan Lara.

A Viewing will be held on Friday, June 3, 2022, from 12:00 to 8:00 PM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Tony's Life will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Manor Cemetery.
