Long time Austin resident, beloved mother and friend, Ann Campbell passed away July 29, 2020. She was 90 years old.

Ann was born on November 11, 1929 in Elgin, Texas to Martin and Inez Swayze.

Ann graduated from Elgin High School in 1947. She was a member of the band. She soon became a switchboard operator for the phone company in Austin

Ann raised her two children in Fort Worth, Texas. Afterward she lived in San Antonio where she worked as a medical transcriber at Wofford Hall. She moved to Austin in 1992 and began working for the Texas Department of Transportation. She retired from TxDot at age 82. She was a member of the Bethany Methodist Church.

Ann is survived by her loving son Michael Hutto and wife Patty of Rock Hill, SC, brother Don Swayze and wife Kathy of Lago Vista, Texas. She leaves behind three grandchildren: Bobby Trace Blankenship, Rachel Duncan, and Tracy Couch, 9 great-grandchildren: Tori, Thomas, Anna, Riley, Hyland, Addison, Aaron, Trent, and Trista, and two great great-grandchildren.

Ann was preceded in death by her loving daughter Cathi Blankenship Graves, great granddaughter Adriana Duncan, husband Bob Campbell, sisters Dean Inman and Bennie Wright, and brother Martin Swayze Jr.

A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, August 7, 2020, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Ann’s Life will be held 10:30 AM Saturday, August 8, 2020, Providence-Jones Family Chapel. Interment will follow in the Elgin Cemetery.
