Cynthia Ann (Cyndy) Wiser was born June 15, 1960 in Dallas, Texas to parents Ed and Wanda Elliott. She was raised in Elgin, Texas and attended school there. Cyndy was a certified Paramedic and worked for the City of Austin and the City of Kerrville. She decided to go into law enforcement and moved to Waxahachie, Texas in 1992 after going to work for the Waxahachie Police Department. She retired from the City of Waxahachie in 2008 and had achieved the rank of Lieutenant prior to her retirement.
Cyndy was dedicated to helping and serving the public as both a paramedic and a police officer. She had recently moved back home to Elgin where she succumbed to a lengthy illness on December 13, 2010.
Cyndy is survived by her daughter, Reagan Ward and husband Lee Ward of Elgin and son, 1st Lt. Martin Lindig and wife Leslie of San Diego, Ca. Three grandchildren, Roman, Rylee and Colton, and another grandchild expected in April, her mother, Wanda Elliott of Waxahachie and brother, Mark Elliott of Waxahachie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ed Elliott.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday, December 17, 2010 at Elgin Providence Funeral Home. Burial will be at 3:00 pm at Greenwood Cemetery, Fredericksburg, Texas.
