Mary Helen Ramirez

August 18, 1935 — January 25, 2017

Mary Helen (Martinez) Ramirez was called home by our Lord on Tuesday, January 25, 2017. She was 81 years young and surrounded by family at the time of her passing.

Mary Helen was born at the Brickyard in Elgin, Texas to Cecilio and Maria Martinez on August 18, 1935. Fletcher Ramirez Jr. was lucky enough to catch Mary Helen’s eye and they were blessed to spend 62 years in a loving and caring marriage until her last second in life. She was a wonderful mother to her children. Mary Helen took so much pride in her Eleven Grandchildren, Twelve Great-Grandchildren, and her only Great-Great-Grandson.

Mary Helen so adored being a wife and a mother, a daughter and a sister, and a friend. She will surely be missed but she leaves behind a strong solid Legacy of Family.

She is preceded in death by both her parents, Brothers; Ramon and Hector Martinez and Sister Guadalupe Martinez.

Mary Helen is survived by her sisters; Rebecca Rodriguez and Dolores Cantu and her Brother Cecilio Martinez Jr. and wife Gerry. Her sons; Ronald Ramirez, Eddie Ramirez and wife Elizabeth, Fletcher Ramirez III and wife Andrea and Daughter Cindy Ramirez Flipse. She is also survived by her Eleven Grandchildren; Stephanie Zeiman, Stacey Dunkin and husband Dempsey, Veronica Seever and husband Brad, Jeffrey Ramirez and wife Nancy, Erin Ramirez, Adam Ramirez and wife Lisa, Erica Ramirez, Philip Cantu, James Cantu, Nick Ramirez and Jacob Ramirez. Twelve Great Grandchildren; Destany McGraw, Victoria McGraw, Logan Duphily, Ivy Martinez, Emil Martinez, Olive Dunkin, Austin Gann, Xavier Ramirez, Alyssa Ramirez, Jeffrey Isaac Ramirez, Philip Ramirez and Leah Cantu and One Great-Great Grandchild Noah.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00-9:00 P.M. with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7:30 P.M. Friday, January 27, 2017 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Mass of Christian burial will he held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 28, 2017 Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment to follow at the Elgin Latin Cemetery.

The Ramirez Family would like to Thank all of the special family members and friends who have showered us with support and encouragement and love. It will never be forgotten and unappreciated.

A Special Thanks to the many Nurses, Doctors, and Hospice Staff that helped make her comfortable at the end.
