Martha E. Hoelscher

Martha E. Hoelscher, age 76, of Elgin TX passed away January 15, 2017 with family by her side. She was born August 28, 1940 to Rufus Gilpin Jr and Irene Boatright Gilpin.

Martha enjoyed playing bingo, doing crafts, flowers and loved to cook. If you knew Martha you knew she loved her Grandchildren dearly.

Martha is preceded in death by both her parents and Sister Catherine Clawson, great grandchildren, Elum Dean Smith and Jackson McClellan.

She is survived by her five children; Barbara Gray, Michael Hoelscher and wife Dianne, Janet Strickland and husband Billy, David Hoelscher and wife Susan and Lisa Hoelscher. 12 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, and five siblings; Carl and wife Linda, John and wife Nancy, Evelyn and husband Sam, Mary Lou and Diann.

A Celebration of Martha’s Life will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, January 21, 2017 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home.
