John David "Sugie" Brown

John David “Sugie” Brown, age 72, of Elgin, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017. He was born December 31, 1944 to Lige and Addie Lee Brown in Manor, TX.

Sugie loved hunting and fishing, and playing cards and dominoes.

Sugie was preceded in death by his wife Linda Brown, both of his parents, and four siblings; Elwood Brown, Leonard Brown, Frances Davis, and Betty Lou Duncan.

He is survived by his children; Cheryl Wenzel and husband Darrell, and Michael Brown and wife Monica, five grandchildren; Jacob, Megan, Hayden, Hayleigh and Zachary, brothers; Norman Brown and wife Carolyn, Leroy Brown and wife Minnie Jean, Elroy Brown and wife Viola, and Sister Bobbie Jean Dailey, as well as Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 19, 2017 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday, January 20, 2017 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment to follow at the J.J. Manor Cemetery
