James "Woody" W. Campbell Jr.

James “Woody” Campbell age 77, of Elgin passed away peacefully Friday, December 2, 2016.

He was born August 2, 1939 to Woody and Maggie (Fort) Campbell in Bastrop County, Texas.

Woody was a painter/contractor for many year in the Elgin area. He was a Loving father and friend to many.

Woody was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Roy, Lester, Cleo, Sydney, and Nunny Campbell, sisters, Myrtle Campbell and Juanita Hemphill.

Survivors include his daughter, Kelly Campbell, step-son, Ray King, sisters, Marie Paschall and Mary Ellis.

A Celebration of Woody’s Life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2016, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment in the Elgin Latin Cemetery will be private.
