Essie Kerr age 87 of Elgin Passed away Sunday October 23, 2016.
Essie was born October 25, 1928 to Essie Kerr Sr. and Vernice Henigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Earlie Lee Chambers and 7 children.
He is survived by a son Maurice Kerr, two daughters, Bettie Kerr and Gloria Kerr. Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive him.
A viewing will be held 9:00 AM-5:00 PM Friday, October 28, 2016, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Home Going Celebration will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, October 29, 2016, Mt Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Byron Green Officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Westbrook Memorial Cemetery.
