Gloria Jean Lewis age 74 of Elgin, passed away Thursday July 18, 2016 at her home.

Gloria was born March 24, 1942 in Harris County, Texas to Elwin Doud and Ruby Thomas.

She worked as a cook at Buckner Villas Retirement Community in Austin for over 20 years and 6 years at Elgin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Gloria was a woman of Faith and Loved the Lord.

She was preceded in 1983 by her husband Raymond Lewis.
Survivors include her sons; Randy (Nancy) Lewis, Jeffery Lewis, Paul (Stephanie) Lewis, daughter Darlene (Ralph), brothers, Manuel Doud, Ronnie Doud, sister, Carolyn Jones Doud, 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Gloria’s Life will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at the Fleming Community Center in Elgin.
