Charles Cantrell

March 30, 1938 — August 11, 2016

Charles Cantrell was born March 30, 1938 to parents Mary Francis Cantrell and Lewis Cantrell of Austin Texas.

Charles or “Charlie” worked most of his life as a contractor building fencing. He was a loving husband and father that never asked for anything for himself and always made sure that his family was provided for and loved. He had a way about him that brought a smile to everybody's face, whether it was an untamed comment or just a big grin on his face that could have a million meanings that were easily understood. He loved to visit with everybody and tell stories about the past as well as speculate on the future weather conditions. His home was always open for anyone who had the time for a visit and anytime you were there someone else would stop by to check in. He loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, tending to his garden or even just mowing the grass. He loved to be outside and busy. He will be missed but never forgotten as anyone that has spent any amount of time with him will carry a piece of his extraordinary soul with them for the rest of their lives and share stories with many future generations.
