Ann Garrett Skinner

Ann Garrett Skinner, age 70, of McDade, passed away Thursday July 7, 2016.

She was born September 25, 1945 to Van and Audean Garrett in Erath County Texas.

After retiring from the Texas State House of Representatives personal division, Ann worked with her husband at the McDade General Store. She was a pianist at the Knobbs Springs Baptist Church for many years, recently playing at the McDade Baptist Church on Sundays.
Known as Ms. Ann to the children, loved God and her family. Her hobbies were gardening, quilting, and caring for animals.

She is survived by her husband Jesse “Butch” Skinner, Sons; Steven Skinner and Kevin Pittman, a daughter, Ginny Skinner, brother Travis Garrett, and grandchildren, Raylan and Alexandria.

A viewing will be held from 1:00-5:00 PM Monday, July 11, 2016 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Ann’s Life will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 12th, Knobbs Springs Baptist Church. She will be laid to rest in the Lower Knobbs Cemetery.
