Freddie Nolan Hobbs

Nolan Hobbs (85) of Taylor passed away on Friday, April 29. Nolan was the youngest son of Elcannie and Vera Hobbs. He was born on August 12, 1930.

Nolan was a successful entrepreneur, owning several business establishments, but is best remembered by his customers and friends for The Dodge City Steakhouse in Austin and later The New Dodge City Steakhouse in Pflugerville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters and 3 brothers and wife Ruby Hobbs who passed away in 1985.

Survivors include wife of 30 years, Martha Hobbs, son Mike Hobbs and wife Kim, daughter Delores Pelzel, Stepdaughter Karen Thompson and partner Stacey and Stepson Glenn Thompson and wife Shawn. He is lovingly survived by his grandchildren Millette Fisher, Lance Guerrero and wife Jennifer, Tisha Hobbs and fiancé Ryan Frank, Dawn Melde and Husband Aaron, Kacie Cargill and husband Clayton, Vanessa Arms, Ryan Pezel, Landie Ramirez and husband Jeff, Lindsay Thompson, Mason Thompson, Klein Thompson, and Aidan Thompson-McTaggart and numerous great-grandchildren.

At Nolan’s request, there will be no services. Memorials may be made to individual’s choice.
