Steven Carroll Hibbs

February 19, 1951 — April 7, 2016

Steven Carroll Hibbs, Sr., known by his family as "Stevie", 65, of Elgin, Texas passed on to his Heavenly Father on April 6, 2016 in Austin, Texas. He was born February 19, 1951 in Austin, Texas to J.C. and Dorothy Hibbs. Steve graduated from Manor High School in 1969. He worked as a master plumber for over 30 years. Steve's love of country music ran deep in his soul. He was a gifted musician who loved to play guitar and sing old country music such as Ray Price and Johnny Bush. Steve had his own band and played with other bands throughout the years.

Steve was a member of the Webberville Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his son Steven Hibbs, Jr. and wife Heather, daughter Tracy McKee and husband Steve. Steve had seven grandchildren, Patrick Hibbs, Shaun Hibbs, Camron Hibbs, Jaycee McKee, Macey McKee, Gracie McKee and Myles McKee. He was preceded in death by his wonderful parents J.C. and Dorothy Hibbs.

The family extends a special thank you for the love and compassionate care of the nurses and staff at North Austin Medical Center Outpatient Surgery & Radiology Department.

A Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 P.M. Friday, April 8, 2016, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Services will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 9, 2016 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment to follow in the Elgin Cemetery.
