Genaro S. Tovar

Genaro Tovar, 86 years of age was called home to his Heavenly Father February 28, 2016.

Genaro was born May 17, 1929 to Genaro and Jesusa Tovar in Karnes City Texas. He enjoyed spending time with wife Eleanor Tovar no matter how limited that time may have been.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years of marriage Eleanor Tovar, daughter Rosemary Tovar Hernandez, son Genaro Tovar; daughter in-law Lucy Tovar, daughters Margarita "Maggie" Tovar,and Mary Tovar, son Joe Tovar, son Michael Tovar, daughter Linda Tovar and son Nicholas Tovar. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

A visitation will begin at 6:00 PM Thursday March 3, 2016, with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Celebration of Mass Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Friday March 4, 2016, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Elgin Latin Cemetery. A reception will be held at Sacred Heart Church held after the committal service.
