Lois Julia Tice Colston Ramsey, 88, passed away in her home in Elgin on November 25, 2015.
Lois was born the oldest of Joe and Ruby Tice’s two daughters, on
December 5, 1926, in Houston, Texas.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Lynch of Trinity. Her five children, Lynn and husband, Joe Cottle of Elgin; Gerald Colston of Tyler; Joe Ramsey and wife, Jane of Austin; Kathy Ramsey of Elgin and Paula Ramsey of Elgin. Six grandchildren,Sean Ramsey and wife Tina of Lockhart; Julie and husband Tony Ledesma of Elgin; Stephanie and husband Michael Livesay of Pasadena; Carrie and husband Chad Hefner of Vancouver, Washington; Jennifer and husband Scott King of Cedar Creek and Amanda and husband Kirk Daigle of Tyler and Eleven great-grandchildren, Megan Ramsey, Emma Ledesma, Ramsey Ledesma, Sara Livesay, Jimmy Livesay, Brent Hefner, Aidan Prinz, Gracyn Henschel, Lilyan Henschel, Aubrey Daigle and Andrew Daigle.
Lois retired in 1992 as an Elementary School Cafeteria Manager of the
Austin Independent School District.
A visitation will be held Saturday the 28th from 6-8 pm at the Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home of Elgin. A celebration of Lois’ life will begin at 3 pm on Sunday the 29th, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Elgin Cemetery.
