Sophia Ramirez Fuentez

Sofia Ramirez Fuentez, a lifelong resident of Elgin, Texas was called to her eternal life Tuesday morning, November 17, 2015. Her niece Melissa Fuentes was at her side as she departed to her eternal life.

Sofia was preceded in death by her husband Jose Fuentez and parents Eufracio and Victoria Ramirez, Sister Aurora Santos and Nellie Martinez.

She is survived by her brother Fletcher Ramirez Jr. (Mary Helen), brother Frank Ramirez (Patricia Ramirez), sister Delphine Hernandez, and her long caregiver niece Melissa Fuentes and her children; Christopher, Andrew, and Andrea Fuentes, all of Elgin. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be: Sergio Torres, Carlos Coronado, Felipe Cardiel, Jorge Retta, Ronald Ramirez, and Daniel Torres.
Honorary Pallbearers: Christopher Fuentes, Andrew Fuentes, Adalberto Carlos Sr., Adalberto Carlos Jr. (Bubba), Kolby Hernandez and Steve Sanchez.

A visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2015, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Celebration of Mass Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Friday, November 20, 2015, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Elgin Latin Cemetery
