LUCILLE PARIS KARNSTADT

Lucille Paris Karnstadt passed away on October 10, 2015 in Elgin, Texas at the age of 88.

Lucille was born on October 16, 1926 in Williamson County, Texas to Purl L. Paris and Cleo Butler Paris. She graduated from Elgin High School in 1944 and worked for the State of Texas for many years. After retirement she was an avid volunteer in the Elgin Independent School District and the Elgin Historical Association. She was a member of the Yegua Creek Evangelical Free Church. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and loved watching her favorite sports teams, the Texas Longhorns, the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and Arthur Kintz. She was married to J.W. Dunbar for more than 35 years until his untimely death in 1981. She was later married to Harry Karnstadt from 1989 until his death in 1996.

She is survived by her daughter, Bonnie Simpson and husband Terry of Liberty Hill, Texas, her daughter Geraldine Wilde and husband Andrew of Richmond, Texas, a brother, George Paris of Las Vegas, Nevada, three grandchildren, Michael Lee Marshall Jr., Michelle Wilde and Kyle Wilde, great grandchildren Ash Marshall and Ty Marshall, her aunt Allene Paris of Taylor, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

For those who desire, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the charity of your choice.

The Family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM Monday, October 12, 2015, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Lucille’s Life will be held Graveside 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 13, 2015, in the Elgin Cemetery.
