Patsy Diane Smothermon

Patsy Diane (Maass) Smothermon, Age 61 of Elgin, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 28, 2015 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.

Patsy was born June 14, 1954 to J.E. and Florine (Gest) Maass in Austin, Texas. Her passion in life was being “Mema” to her 10 grandchildren. Patsy enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a love for animals. Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving and kind-hearted person
.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her grandson Kyler.

She is survived by her husband, Chris Smothermon, brother Glenn Maass, children Christy Hoyland, Tracy Noe, Scott Beauchamp, Candace Smothermon, Wesley Smothermon and Chris Smothermon. She also survived by her 10 grandchildren: Kaden, Alexis, Kylie, Kinsey, Kasie, Emma, Ava, Ellie, Keller and Taitlyn.

A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin, TX. A celebration of Patsy’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 3, 2015 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Adina Cemetery.
