Ewald "Butch" Herman Ging Jr.

Ewald Herman "Butch" Ging, Jr. died Monday, April 6, 2015 at the Austin Heart Hospital.

Butch was born in Coupland, Texas on November 30, 1939 the son of Ewald Herman "Snookie" Ging Sr and Gladys Ging. He married his wife, Jo Ann (Barrington) on December 19, 1959, and became a long time resident of Elgin, Tx. Butch retired from IBM at the age of 55.

Butch is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jo Ann, their three children, Herman (Stephanie), Carolyn Belz (Randy), and Allyson Hicks (Russel). He is survived by 8 grand children, Brandee Ging, Ryan Belz (Shannon), Brandon Belz (Kellie), Hannah Jimenez (Louis), Angelique Deright (Angelo), Khrysteena Ging, Megan Belz and Royanne Hicks. Also surviving are 4 great grandchildren: Orhi, Lola, Jaxon & Gavin. Butch is survived by 3 brothers: Wayne Ging (Carolyn), David Ging (Lena), and Mike Ging and numerous nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ewald and Gladys Ging, sister Carol Dyer, and her husband Don Dyer.

A Celebration of Life Services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, April 10, 2015 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Elgin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, Butch's family asks that memorials be given to the Elgin Public Library.
