Oscar Lee Wusterhausen, 65, of Elgin, TX, passed away at his home Feb 27, 2015.
Oscar was born in Giddings to Howard Wusterhausen and Lilly Kate Hewer. He graduated from Lexington High School in 1967 and attended college at UT. Afterward, he worked in construction and was the owner of Environmental Mill and Supply, Inc., from which he retired in 2008.
Oscar is preceded in death by both parents and brothers Howard Jr, Albert, and Arthur.
Oscar was married 45 years to his loving wife, Linda Wilson Wusterhausen. He leaves behind five children and spouses: Jerry and Kelli of Florida, William (Billy) and Rita of Round Rock, Stephen and Brandi of Elgin, Loretta and Edward Harvey of Cameron, and Elizabeth and Boyd Brotherton of San Angelo. Sixteen grandchildren: Christian, Emma, Angelina, Christopher, Shelby, Jacob, Brodie, and Chelsea Wusterhausen; Carter Davidson, Whitney Boatright, Ashley Aleman, Miranda and David Reininger; Natalie and Rowen Harvey; Adalyn and Bryson Brotherton. Great grandchildren Eric Aleman, Mia and Josiah Reininger.
Oscar is also survived by his brothers and spouses: August and Eddie of Round Rock, Alfred and Judy of Sherman; sisters and spouses: Alvina and Curtis Moerbe of Warda, Lilly and Hubert Farris of Blue, Linda and David Scott of Lake Whitney; mother-in-law Esther Wilson of Elgin, sister-in-law and spouse Joyce and Roger Gunter of Burnet, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are sons Jerry, Billy, and Stephen Wusterhausen, nephew Kenneth Wusterhausen, along with Friends Red Stephenson, Richard Martin, Guy Ogden, and Gene Kent.
Visitation will be held 6-8 P.M. on Friday March 6 and funeral services held 10 A.M. Saturday March 7 at Providence-Jones Funeral Home in Elgin. Interment held at the Wilson Family Cemetery in Elgin.
Reception to follow at the First Assembly of God in Bastrop.
