Bacilio V. Rodriguez

Bacilio Rodriguez, 79 of Elgin, Texas passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at home after a short illness.

Bacilio was born June 14, 1935 in Skidmore, Texas to Julio and Juanita Rodriguez. He attended school In Mathis, Texas. He was united in marriage to Elva Paiz from Hebbronville, Texas, July 1954. Upon their union they had 7 children. Bacilio served as a deacon and Pastor for 35 years at El Buen Pastor Church, Oakwood Evangelistic Church.
He is preceded in death by both his parents and infant twin brother, and son Manual Rodriguez.

Bacilio is survived by wife Elva (Paiz) Rodriguez, two sons; Roland and Robert (Kaye) of Bastrop, four daughters; Linda (Robert) Galindo, Sandra Bennett, Cindy (Micheal) Howard of Elgin, Priscilla (Edwards) Robertson of Elgin, 16 Grandchildren, 14 Great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Isabel Guzman of Mathis, TX, Irene Garza of Colorado, and brother Julio Rodriguez of Houston, TX.

A visitation will be held on 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, February 26, 2015, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Celebration of life Services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, February 27, 2015 Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home with Jessie Guerrero officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Elgin Latin Cemetery
