Linda Lee Stein

On the morning of February 18, 2015, Linda (DeVore) Stein was peacefully called to be with the Lord at her country home in Paige, Texas.

Linda was born on July 31, 1959 in Fort Worth, Texas to Samuel Lee Statham and the late Stella Mae Statham. She had an older sister named Louise; although there was 13 years between them, they were very close and often considered to be best friends. Linda went to Cleburne High School, where she played basketball and later graduated. She had four daughters: Rachel, Melissa, Samantha and Jessica. During raising her daughters she graduated from Police Academy, where she worked at Bishop Police Department. She, also, attended classes at A&I in Kingsville majoring in Psychology. She never met a stranger and was loved by all. She was a great mother to her daughters but also mother to all her daughter’s friends. Linda was a devoted, giving mother. One of the happiest moments in her life was meeting her current husband Trey Stein, where they later settled down in Paige Texas. Linda has always referred to Trey as her “rock” and soul mate. During their loving marriage, they were blessed with three granddaughters. She is joined in heaven with her mother Stella, oldest daughter Rachel and grandson Caleb.

She is survived by her husband Trey Stein; her father Samuel Statham from Bastrop, Texas; daughters Melissa (John) Wooten from Kingsville, Texas and their daughters Alexandria and Annabelle; Samantha (Brent) Stephens from Murfreesboro, Tennessee and their daughter Heidi; Jessica (Ken) Fey from San Antonio, Texas; sister Louise (Don) Myatt from Allen, Texas and their children Donna (Fred) Cadena from Red Oak, Texas, and Scotty (Christina) Myatt from Lewisville ,Texas; in-laws Mary(Joe) Stein from Sulphur, Louisiana and numerous other relatives.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday February 23, 2015 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home .A viewing will begin at 11am-1pm and service to follow.
