Victoria Ann Yarbrough

Victoria Ann (Bryant) Yarbrough, age 41 of Bastrop, passed away Monday, January 26, 2015.

She was born in Broward County, Florida, on June 7, 1973 to James A. Barker and Barbara Ann Rotenberger. Victoria has 3 brothers, James Barker, Pete Bryant and Travis Bell, a sister, Kimberly Schuldes, and her stepfather Larry Smith.

Kenneth Yarbrough and Victoria met in 2005 via My Space (a precursor to Facebook) and began writing, talking and visiting each other; Victoria from Florida and Ken from Ulvade, Texas. They married on December 2, 2007 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Bastrop, Texas when Ken joined the Bastrop Police Department. Their children are Chyanne Bryant, Jessica Bryant, Decker Yarbrough, River Yarbrough, McKena Yarbrough and Shiloh Yarbrough.

Victoria was an incredibly active and spontaneous person. Included in her activities were:
Master Scuba Diver and Instructor; Underwater Search and Recovery; Fire Fighter for the Bastrop Volunteer Fire Department; Photographer; Optometrist; and National Rifle Association member.

Victoria was also an “outdoors girl,” who enjoyed: Hunting; Fishing; Shooting; All types of animals (except spiders); and Tubing.

Victoria was known for her love of organizing (and then shopping with) coupons and watching The Little Couple and Little Women of L.A. In Florida, during her youth, she was an Explorer for the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Department, and later became an advisor to that program when she became an adult.

Victoria's spontaneity, exuberance and love of life will be missed by her family and friends. Those who knew and loved her have lost a great friend and companion, who cherished life and all around her.
