James F. ”Jimmy” Davis age 83 of Pflugerville passed away Monday September 15, 2014.

Jimmy was born on March 26, 1931 in Austin, Texas. He was a house painter and decorator in Austin for 40 years. He traveled to many states, enjoyed caring for his flowers and drinking Dr. Pepper. In his younger years he owned race horses and enjoyed watching them run. His home was always open to Pflugerville kids of all ages starting in 1973 with his daughters friends, all the way through to 2014 with his grandchildren’s friends. He played cards and always had a puzzle on the table for them to work. His greatest pleasure in life was his grandchildren. He traveled many miles with Daniel, riding the tractor with Mark, making trips with John to the port in Houston, and was Jayme’s #1 fan in all her sports, never missing any of her sporting events even up into college. Not only was he Grandpa to his Grandchildren he felt like a Grandpa to all their friends. He loved nothing more than them calling him Grandpa.
