Jose (Pepe) Valadez Castorena, 91, went on to be with our Lord Jesus Christ and was reunited with his wife, Maria del Refugio, on Tuesday, July 29, 2014. Maria del Refugio and Jose were married for 51 years.
Jose was above all, a devoted Cristian. He was a great mechanic and entrepreneur, who worked until the age of 87. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching his favorite sport, baseball, especially his favorite team the “Atlanta Braves”. Jose played baseball as young man in Mexico. Besides baseball, he seldom missed watching episodes of “Walker, Texas Ranger”, even if they were repeats.
Jose was extremely loving and proud of his four daughters (Rosamaria, Martha, Sylvia and Lupita), his eight grandchildren (Jose NetzahualcoyotL, Erika, Alexandra, Adrian, Miguel Angel, Alexia, Cristamaria and Noemi) and his thirteen great-grandchildren (Tanner, Madison, Sebastian, Benjamin, Viviana, Isabela, Sofia, Isaias, Austin, Elijah, Monique, Enzio and Harper).
Jose is also survived by his sister Ana Maria Valadez, of Zacatecas,Mexico, as well his many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Jose will be greatly missed, but is with us in spirit and countless memories.
