Jimmy David Miller Jr.

Jimmy David Miller Jr. age 45 of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014.

Jimmy was born March 25, 1969 in Austin, Texas to Jimmy Miller Sr. and Peggy Woods Miller. While attending schools in Elgin, he made many lifelong friendships, participated in 4-H, and FFA, and won many showmanship awards for the livestock he raised. He completed his education in Waco at Texas State Technical College. His training prepared him to be an excellent heavy equipment mechanic. Most recently he worked for the City of Austin as the Fleet coordinator for 17 years.

Jimmy spent many hours in the hayfields with his best friends, his cattle, he loved fishing with his daughter, and coaching T-ball with his boys, he also enjoyed hunting with friends, and in his high school years he was known for parking on the back row always with a mischievous smile on his face.

He is remembered by his wife, Lori Walters-Miller; parents, Jimmy Miller Sr. and Peggy Miller; daughter, Elizabeth Miller; sons, Jake Miller and Garrett Miller; sister, Cecelia “Cissy” Tiner; and many nieces, nephews, and friends .

A visitation will be held 9:00 AM Wednesday, July 9, 2014, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, Elgin with Memorial Services beginning at 10:00 AM.
