Fernando Flores

Fernando G. Flores age 77, of Austin, formerly of Elgin, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2014.

Fernando was born May 30, 1936 to Catarino Flores Sr. and Antonia Chavez in Elgin, Texas. He served in the US Navy for over 20 years.

Fernando was preceded in death by his parents; brother Catarino Flores Jr.; and sister Susie Martinez.

Survivors include his son Israel Flores; brothers Pete Flores and John Flores; sisters Juliana Flores and Lacadia Jonse; numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.

A visitation will be held 6:00 PM, Friday, April 4, 2014, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home with the Holy Rosary being recited at 7:00 PM.

Celebration of Mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, April 5, 2014, Sacred Heart Catholic Church-Elgin, Interment with military honors will follow at the Elgin Cemetery.
