Arthur Herman Schroeder Jr.

Arthur H. Schroeder Jr., age 70 of Elgin, Texas passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014. After a long and healthy life as a farmer/rancher in the Elgin area, he lost a courageous battle to cancer. Arthur passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by family and loved ones. He was born July 19, 1943 in Elgin, Texas to Arthur and Bertha Schroeder. He was preceded in death by his parents; son Ahren Schroeder; brother J P Schroeder; and sister Artie Mae Schroeder.

Arthur is survived by his wife of 47 years Jan Schroeder; son Clint and wife Surenda Schroeder; daughter Merritt Schroeder; and grandchildren Victoria, Savannah, EmmaLeigh, and Sutton.

The family would like to thank Odyssey Hospice and all of the dedicated professionals who helped him through this journey.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, March 26, 2014, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. A Celebration of Arthur’s life will be 11:00am Thursday, March 27, 2014, St. Peters Lutheran Church, Elgin, TX.
