Richard William Carlson

Richard William Carlson age 85 of Paige ,Texas passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at home surrounded by his family.

Richard was born November 10, 1928 in Bishop, Texas to August and Iona Carlson.

He was the owner of Friendly Radio and TV on Congress Ave for many years. Upon retirement he and his wife, Wanda moved from Jollyville, TX to Paige, TX where they raised cattle. Richard loved to garden, fish and watch Texas Longhorn Football. He was a devoted husband and father.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Wanda Hollingsworth Carlson, four sons; Sterling Carlson, Don Carlson (Rita), Michael Carlson (Verna), and John Carlson(Kathy) , daughter, Linda Ricardi (Rick), and brother, Charles Carlson (Kathy). He is Also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Graveside services honoring Richard’s Life will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 7, 2014, McDade Cemetery, McDade, TX.
