Rosie Lee Martinez

Rosie “Gee Jay” Lee Martinez, age 53 of Taylor, Texas passed away Friday, January 3, 2014.

She was born October 14, 1960 to Salvador and Pauline Martinez.

Gee Jay was a very loving and caring person. She loved to cook, volunteer at Caring Heart’s Ministry and the local pantry. She loved spending time with her family and adored her grandchildren. Gee Jay loved family gatherings and was a great host. She had a beautiful smile and was always the life of the party. Gee Jay will truly be missed! God has gained another beautiful angel.

She is preceded in death by her father, Salvador Martinez, sister, Valany Gonzales, brother, Bobby Martinez, and 2 sons, John Gabriel Martinez and Brandon Martinez.

Rosie is survived by her husband Emilio Mendoza, son, Richard D. Martinez (Julie), 3 daughters, Sonia Nasalga (Dennis James), Tonia Godfrey (Isaac), Kimberly Lynn Martinez, her Mother, Pauline Martinez, 4 brothers, Marty Martinez (Marlena), Arthur Martinez (Vera), Roger Martinez, Rudy Martinez (Emily), 4 sisters, Hope Lopez (Joe), Ory Boney (Jeff), Sophie Hernandez (Perk), Debbie Moya (Jim) and 15 Grandchildren, Jacline, Joseph, Kailynn, Jadon, Alexis, Kiyla, Brandon, Gabrielle, Juan Antonio, Oasis, Dwayne, Ellena, Ariana, Arissa, and Dominic.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, January 7, 2014, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, Celebration of Mass will be held 10:00 Am Wednesday, January 8, 2014, Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor. Interment will follow Our Lady of Guadalupe Cemetery-Taylor.
