David King Sr.

David Lee King Sr., age 64, of McDade went to be with The Lord on December 16th surrounded by friends and family. He was born on March 10, 1949 to William and Dollie King. He married Annette Meredith on May 22, 1970 and was married for 43 years before his death.

David Sr. loved God, his family, coon hunting, deer hunting, golf and watching his grandkids play sports. He was one of the kindest men that you could ever know. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Billy, Joe, Bobby and Richard and sisters Dorothy McMillan and Darlene King.

He is survived by his wife Annette, daughters Karen Glosson & husband Gary of McDade, Sharon Hurley of Midlothian, and Cynthia King of Bastrop, sons David King Jr. and girlfriend Jacki Koi of Bastrop, Danny King and wife Erin of Manor, and Kenny King of McDade, grandkids Cooper, Abby, Hunter, Sarah, and Tyson King, Lacey, Alyssa and Lauren Glosson, Vivienne Linder, Avery and Trevor Koi and many other "adopted" grandkids. Brothers Okas Sr and wife Elaine, Dickie and wife Barbara, Bryan and wife Dorothy, sisters Mary "Tootsie" Eller and husband Orville, Virginia "Kidd" Hamby, Linda Macchia and husband Geno, Polly Rasco, and Marlene King. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Visitation will be Saturday, December 21st from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Providence Funeral Home in Elgin. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, December 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at Family Worship Center, 2425 FM-1704, Elgin, Texas. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Bastrop.
