Hector Cantu Villanueva

Hector Villanueva went to be with the Lord on August 25, 2013 at the age of 60. He passed away at his home in the arms of his wife. Hector served in the US Navy right after he graduated from New Braunfels High School. He then worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 28 years.
Hector was born in New Braunfels, Texas, on January 23, 1953, to Delia and Jose A. Villanueva. He is survived by his wife Rosa, sons Lance (Rachel), Barney (Feliciana) daughters Mindy Moreno (Faustino), Sarah and stepsons Josue and Zeus Omar Paredes and stepdaughter Sandra Paredes; his mother Delia Villanueva; sisters Lucinda Hoenscheidt (Gary); Veronica Urias (Pilar); Barbara Pesina (Jesse); Alma Martinez (Jose); Dolly Villa (Michael) and Vicky Hudson (David); brothers Gene Villanueva; Michael Villanueva (Christie); Anthony Villanueva; and Andrew Villanueva, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jose A. Villanueva Sr., and brothers Jose “Sonny” A. Villanueva, Jr., Adam Villanueva and Rosendo Villanueva.

Celebration of Life Services will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, August 27th, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home.

Graveside Services will be held 10:00 Wednesday, August 28th, Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
