E. H. Lawhon

E.H. Lawhon passed away the morning of Monday, July 22, 2013, in Bastrop, Texas. Elvy Hanson (E.H.) Lawhon was born on June 14, 1941 at home in Lawhon Springs, Texas to Oscar and Gladys (Hill) Lawhon. He graduated from Thrall High School and then served in the U.S. Army from December 1963 to December 1965, serving in Vietnam for a short while. He was employed with Texas Eastern in Mont Belvieu, Texas. After his retirement he moved back to his home in Lawhon Springs. He enjoyed dancing and visiting with his many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant brother, and his brother A.H. Lawhon. E.H. is survived by his Aunt Ruth Bostic and numerous cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 26, 2013, 6:00-8:00PM, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, Elgin, Texas. Services will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013, 10:00AM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, Elgin, Texas. Interment will follow at Lawhon Springs Cemetery.
