James (Jim) S. Wilson

James (Jim) Stanton Wilson age 76 of Elgin passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013.

Jim was born November 9, 1936 to Morton and Arthedea Wilson in Minneapolis Minnesota.

He joined the Marines and served his country for 20 years, including 2 tours in Vietnam. He was also a peace officer, working for the Travis County Sheriff’s Dept and the Texas Department of Public Safety where he retired in 1998. Jim was a Mason.

Survivors include his wife Florence Wilson, stepchildren; Dusty Bonnet and wife Lisa, Rusty Bonnet and wife Theresa , Tammy Braun and husband Patrick, and 5 grandchildren.

A visitation will be held 3:00-5:00 PM Sunday, June 9, 2013, Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be held 10:00 AM Monday, June 10, 2013,Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will full military honors will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
