Charles David Burke Sr.

Charles David Burke, Sr., 78, of Fayetteville, Texas, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 surrounded by his family. Born in Houston, Texas he grew up in Goose Creek, but lived most of his life in Houston.

Charlie loved the time he spent with family and friends. He enjoyed living at the farm and traveling after he retired from more than thirty years at Columbia Gulf Transmission.

Charlie is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Anna Burke.

Charlie is survived by his daughter Dana Grogan and her husband Butch, his son Bo Burke and his wife Amanda, his daughter Kelly Mueller and her husband Tom, his son Steven Burke and his wife Veronica, his sister Marilyn Perley, his grandchildren Tara, Ian, Andrew, Amanda, Sam, Annie, Kevin, Caroline, Chris and many loving friends and extended family.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 31, 2013 for visitation at 6:30PM and a reciting of the Rosary following at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 209 E. Bell St. Fayetteville, Texas. A mass will be celebrated at St. John’s as well on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 10:00AM
