Lonnie Dean Derrig

Lonnie Derrig, 56, died on June 28th, 2012.

He is survived by long time best friend, Pat Kenny, sons Jason Derrig of Austin, Curt Derrig of Fort Dodge, Iowa; daughter Ashley Derrig of Bastrop; two granddaughters Skylar and Taylor of Austin; father Dean Derrig of Otho, Iowa; mother Donna Brasfield and husband Bo of Thorndale; Sisters Candi Coughlon of Georgetown, Lisa (Gary) Phillips of Buda, Brothers Jon (Linda) Adams of Winchester, Larry (Cindy) Adams of Leander, Stephen Brown of Granbury, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Lonnie was the owner of Affordable Spas and provided spa services to customers in central Texas for many years. He was an avid lover of cooking and enjoyed to Bar-B-Que for family and friends. He had a passion for rodeo, horseback riding, hunting, and fishing. In his spare time he took pleasure in restoring John Deere tractors and as a hobby he collected John Deere memorabilia. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.

A memorial will be held at his home on Saturday, July 7th, at 5:00 pm. Please bring your favorite memory of Lonnie to share. Contributions in memory of Lonnie can be made to Hospice Austin’s Christopher House.
