FRANCES ARBUCKLE. Frances Evelyn Pankhurst Hashem Arbuckle died June 15, 2012. She was born in Austin, Texas on October 6, 1922 to Ernest Lloyd and Mattie Robertson Pankhurst and she graduated from high school at the Masonic Home in Ft. Worth. Frances later worked for the Texas Legislature, married Louis Hashem and moved to Elgin. She kept books for the Arbuckle Oil Company for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, by her brothers Ernest, Wallace, and Jimmy Pankhurst, by her husbands, Louis Hashem in 1976, and Wallace Arbuckle in 1993, and by a step-son, W.E. Arbuckle, Jr. She was a life-long Baptist and a member of the First Baptist Church of Elgin for 62 years. Survivors include a sister-in-law, Sadie Pankhurst of Village Mills, several nieces and a nephew, a step-son, Ronny Arbuckle, and several step-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at the Elgin Cemetery on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dean Busboom officiating.
