Robert (Bob) Carroll
Our beloved Robert
(Bob) “Widowmaker” James Carroll, age 70, passed away January 24, 2012. He was born on May 14, 1941, to Robert Harrison Carroll and Bertha Andrea Shaver in Washington, D.C.
Bob was a retired automotive technician and an active breeder of registered black Angus cattle. He was proud of his father’s service to his country in WWII and Korea. In later years, Bob became an avid student of these military campaigns.
Bob is preceded in death by his father, mother, step-mother (Virginia) and brother, Jerry. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Carol, sons; Bill, Bob and step-son Randy Rodgers, brothers and sister; Mark (Red), Chris, Jon, and Laura, daughter-in-laws: Lynda and Sylvia, 7 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He treated everyone like family and was loved by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and his “black cows”.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Services were entrusted to Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, Elgin.
