Jason Sarmiento, 34, of Taylor, Tx. died Sept. 3, 2011 at home with his family and friends.
He was born Dec. 2, 1976 in Weslaco, Tx. the son of late Estela and Isaias Sarmiento. He was the youngest of six siblings. He married the love of his life, Kimberly Ortiz Sarmiento Jan. 15, 2001. He is survived by brothers; Larry Yanez of Austin, Tx., Javier Yanez and wife Sylvia of Ft. Stockton,Tx. and sisters; Elizabeth Guajardo and husband Nathan of Georgetown, Tx, Victoria Maya of Austin, Tx. and Jessica Cardozo of Austin, Tx.; children; Danielle Hernandez, 21, of Taylor, Christian Torres, 18, of Taylor; Darrion Richman, 16, of Taylor; Destiny Sarmiento, 14, of Round Rock; Juliana Sarmiento,13, of Oklahoma, and a special nephew who he loved as his own son, Y’Milleon Ortiz of Hutto; grandchild, Eliza Gomez, 1 month of Taylor. Jason also has 35 nieces and nephews.
Jason always loved to joke around. He loved all kinds of music. Jason liked karaoke and he was a mobile DJ. He also loved scaring the kids by putting masks on or knocking on their windows at night. He was the biggest UT fan. He was also a true friend to those who knew him.
Rosary will be Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 7 PM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home in Elgin. Funeral services will be Thursday, September 8 at 10 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Taylor. Burial will follow at St. Peters Cemetery in Coupland.
