Robert Gibson passed away in Weatherford, Texas on Thursday, June 9, 2011. Robert was born in Houston, Texas on July 27, 1985, and was raised in Elgin, Texas.

He is survived by his loving wife; Rebecca Gibson, his mother; Patsy Gibson, sister; Lisa Gibson, brother; Frank Gibson, nephews and nieces; Chris, Victoria, Seth, Heather, Joyce, and Cody. Robert was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by a multitude of family and friends.

Robert graduated from Elgin High School in 2003. He attended and played football at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University in 2007. Robert and Rebecca lived in Weatherford, Texas with their two dogs and one cat. He worked as an operator at Stuart Petroleum Testers Incorporated.

Robert loved going out and having a good time with friends. He never met a stranger and was loved by all that knew him. He was one of those people that you couldn’t help but want to be around because he always made you laugh. He had a beautiful smile and wonderful heart. He loved his dogs, Rico and Maggie, and spoiled them rotten. He enjoyed playing and watching every sport. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs fan and would argue with anyone that felt otherwise. Robert loved to go fishing and was always planning his next big fishing trip.

Visitation 6-8 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2011. Services 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 13, 2011 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home Chapel with Interment following at Young's Prairie Cemetery.
