Jackie Miller Allen

Jackie Miller Allen, age 75 of Elgin passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2011. Jack was born February 24, 1936 in Austin, Texas. He worked at Seton Hospital as an X-ray tech for many years, he also had a wallpaper business. Jack moved to Elgin in 1980 and was a huge Sports fan, he loved the Texas Longhorns. He was a member of University Methodist Church in Austin, and was a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife; Florence Vivian Allen, son; Jack Allen Jr. of Austin, daughters; Julie Remboldt of Oregon, and Susie Dunlap of Elgin, and grandchildren; Boone, Amanda, Jake, Jess, Allison, and Melanie. Mr. Allen will lie in state from 12:00 Pm to 8:00 Pm Friday at the Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2011 at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Winchester Cemetery, Winchester.
