Luda Fern Dean Cooke Prinz

Luda Fern Dean Cooke, 76, of Elgin, Tx. passed away February 28, 2011 in an Austin Hospital.

Luda was born January 17, 1935 to Lonnie Lee Dean & Lottie Bell Carter in Bradshaw, Texas.

Luda loved for the whole family to get together. She loved taking care of her kids, grandkids and her plants. Her family and friends were her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sons; Lonnie Daniel Cooke and Ricky Douglas Cooke; brothers; Jimmy Dean and Vaden Dean.

Luda is survived by sons; Gary Neil Cooke & wife Belinda, and James Ronald Cooke, brothers; Johnny & Reba Dean of Midland; and Buddy Dean of Midland; sisters; Norma & Willard Akeman of Rankin; Sue & Ronnie Raper of Lawn and Shirley Hayden of Anchorage, Al.; 12 grandchildren & numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2011 from 6-8 PM at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home, 604 Hwy 95 N., Elgin. Graveside Services will be Friday, March 4, 2011 at 11 AM at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Services are entrusted to Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home of Elgin.
