Elby Dell Hudson

Elby Dell Hudson, 72, of Elgin passed away Feb. 25, 2011 in the Elgin Nursing Home after an extended illness.

He was born Nov. 17, 1938 to Alford and Mary Ida (Rector) Hudson in Jack County.
He married Melba in 2004 in Elgin.

Elby retired from the trucking industry after 38 years.
He held his ministrial licensing with Full Gospel Fellowship. He also served in the National Guard.
Elby was a member of Living Faith Worship Center in Elgin.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Stephen Hudson, brothers; William Hudson, J.D. Hudson, Wendel Hudson and Tommy Hudson.

He is survived by his wife, Melba; sons, David Hudson, Todd Hudson, Paul Hudson and Bryan Hudson; daughter, Lori Holland; brothers, Arnold Hudson (Buck) of Campbell, Tx., Weldon Hudson of Temple, Tx., Howell Hudson of Wichita Falls, Tx., Carl Hudson of Wichita Falls, Tx. and Wayne Hudson of Jacksboro, Tx.; sister, Wanda McCalip of Wichita Falls, Tx.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011 at 2 PM at Elgin Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Speirs Cemetery with Rev. Leon Lott officiating.
