Judy Darlene King-Drummond

Judy was born April 18, 1945 to Albert King Sr. and Helen Summers-King in Austin, Tx. She is preceeded in death by father Albert King Sr., son Curtis Drummond and former husband Melton Drummond.

Judy is survived by mother Helen Summers-King; daughters, Denise Jaimas of Bastrop and Melanie Bennett and husband Scott of Bastrop; son Mitchell Drummond and wife Lisa of Taylor; sister Janice Harris and husband Robert of Liberty Hill; brother Al King Jr. of Austin; four granddaughters, five grandsons and two great-grandsons; two nephews and one niece.

Judy was a seventh generation Texan and a Daughter of the Confederacy. She was always passionate in her care for others. She spent her time as a foster parent, daycare provider, a pillar in her community and a rock to her family. Always putting God first in her life she was an example to those around her.

Judy was called home to be with the Lord February 17, 2011. She was a daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend and she will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Friday, February 25, 2011 from 5-8 PM at Providence Funeral Home, 604 Hwy. 95 N. in Elgin.
Service will be Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 11 AM at the First Asssembly of God; 609 Pecan St., Bastrop. Burial will be at 2 PM at Fiskville Cemetery in Austin.
Elgin Providence Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
