Allan Edward Barrington

Allan Edward Barrington, 57, of Elgin, passed away on January 1, 2011 In Austin, Texas

Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Elgin Providence Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 10 am, Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Elgin Providence Funeral Home with Tom Nuckels officiating. Burial will follow at Elgin Cemetery.

Allan attended school in Elgin (Class of ’70-’71). He served and retired from the US Navy.

Allan is preceded in death by his father, Aubrey Barrington.

He is survived by three daughters: Jennifer Tilley, Kathy Royse, and Annie Murdock; eight grand children; two sisters: Beth Staton and Jo Ann Ging; two brothers: Aubrey Barrington and Robert Barrington; his mother, Merle Barrington; and many nieces and nephews.
